As October draws to an end we thought it was about time we introduced you to another member of the Wayin team. This month we have the lovely Kate, who has been at the company pretty much since day one! Kate now looks after all our wonderful partners who are based all over the world.
CAN YOU ROUND UP IN A FEW SENTENCES WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DO AT WAYIN?
Hey! I’m Kate and I’m the Global Partner Enablement Manager at Wayin. Although I am London based, I work with our partners internationally to successfully retain customers and drive sales by providing pre-sales advice, best practice, process and platform training.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FEATURE OF THE WAYIN PLATFORM?
Drum roll please…It’s probably got to be the App Store, I have seen some exciting developments in the platform during my time at Wayin, and this has got to be the biggest so far! It’s home to over 65+ interactive and innovative experience apps for marketers to ideate and build digital interactive experiences. One of my personal favourites has got to be Instant Win.
IS THERE ONE PIECE OF WORK THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF?
EVERYTHING (only kidding!). Before this role I worked as a Customer Success Manager supporting Vodafone across multiple markets.
Last Halloween, I managed one of our first in-venue experiences in the UK for Capital’s Monster Mash-Up with Vodafone across three events in London, Manchester and Liverpool. This was a totally new concept for Vodafone and it was amazing to contribute to its success with the team! It also won ‘Best Live Experience’ in the Wayin Awards 2017. Here’s a pic of us celebrating our first event!
YOUR FAVORITE ITEM ON YOUR DESK WITH A PICTURE FOR REFERENCE:
I must confess, I’m a serial hot desker. But I did recover this lovely picture of Nick, Luke and myself recently…
WHEN GOING TO A ‘WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I WANTED TO BE’ PARTY, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR OUTFIT OF CHOICE?
Hmm…A Farmer? My Grampy was a Farmer, so I spent days on end running around the countryside in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire. I’m also partial to a pair of Dungarees, Farmers wear those don’t they?
LIST THREE OF YOUR MUST-HAVE APPS:
- Citymapper: Getting lost or underestimating how long it takes to get somewhere is a regular occurrence for me
- Instagram: @kamor92
AS WELL AS YOUR TOP THREE SOCIAL ACCOUNTS TO FOLLOW:
I’m not very good at Twitter, so on Instagram it would be:
- @thefatjewish: there’s been several occasions where I’ve LOL’d in a public place at his content
- @jessicaannewoodley: because she’s such a fashionista (she’s the inspiration to many of my haircuts)
- @Alexa_coe: UK based illustrator, and I’m pretty obsessed with her work
This is a really tough choice but it’s got to be a great artisan cheese or wings, hot, spicy wings.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, FAVOURITE DRINK?
A nice cold IPA (Hepcat, Gypsy Hill), after a long cycle. I’m also partial to a G&T.
WHAT ARE THREE THINGS STILL LEFT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
- Do my Scuba Divemaster
- Own a Cheese Farm
- Ride up Col de Joux Plane in France (a famous climb from Tour de France)
WHAT COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
Cheese, friends and family.
“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” – John Lennon
It helps me to put things into perspective when I’m having a bad day!
