It’s that time of the month again when we get to know one of the lovely faces at Wayin. This month we want to showcase someone who our international sales team definitely couldn’t live without, our Business Operations Manager, Sean.
CAN YOU ROUND UP IN A FEW SENTENCES WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DO AT WAYIN?
Hi! I’m Sean and I’m the Business Operations Manager at Wayin. Though I am Denver based, I work with our international sales organization helping them navigate the inner workings of procurement so they can stay focused on showing off the platform.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FEATURE OF THE WAYIN PLATFORM?
The Wayin App Store is my favorite feature of the Wayin Platform. Seeing the collaboration that went into, and continues to go into, executing such a disruptive and cutting-edge technology makes me excited for the future at Wayin.
IS THERE ONE PIECE OF WORK THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF?
Getting through the procurement process with a Fortune 100 company after 6+ months of document review and negotiation was a milestone. Carefully listening to their concerns and finding creative solutions, while also conveying our pressure points, translated into a great partnership.
YOUR FAVORITE ITEM ON YOUR DESK WITH A PICTURE FOR REFERENCE:
I’m a big Simpsons fan, circa the 1990s, so definitely my Lionel Hutz, Attorney at Law, figurine. Also, Rohto Cool eye drops for those miniscule contract fonts.
WHEN GOING TO A ‘WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I WANTED TO BE’ PARTY, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR OUTFIT OF CHOICE
An archeologist/Indiana Jones getup for sure. I learned hyroglifics when I was 8… which, at the time, was told was totally normal.
LIST THREE OF YOUR MUST-HAVE APPS:
AS WELL AS YOUR TOP THREE SOCIAL ACCOUNTS TO FOLLOW:
- Cory Richards: National Geographic Photojournalist, incredible images
- Andy Borowitz: The Borowitz Report, satire is my coping mechanism for news
- House of Bulldogs: I have 2 of these gentle giants, Lucy and Maple, so I need to know what’s going on in their world
Cheese and crackers.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, FAVOURITE DRINK?
The coldest IPA I can find, preferably after a long day outdoors.
WHAT ARE THREE THINGS STILL LEFT ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
- Road trip across New Zealand
- Learn to sail
- Buy a small farm in Vermont (Maple syrup!)
WHAT COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
Definitely, my family. That, and coffee.
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.” -Henry David Thoreau
