NHL Hosts Championships To Challenge Fans & Drive Engagement Amongst Gamers

To kick-start this year’s NHL Gaming World Championship, NHL is challenging fans to compete against the world’s top EA SPORTS NHL 19 gamers to determine who truly is the best. Complete with a gallery jam-packed with social content, the campaign is the perfect way to engage and drive competition amongst all hockey fans.

Calling all gamers! NHL is giving away a life-changing $100,000 as part of its 2019 NHL Gaming World Championships. In a bid to reach the top of the leaderboard, fans can begin their registration for the tournament by submitting their details using the form hosted within the Battlefy webpage. Once registered, gamers can start to compete using their Hockey Ultimate Team in Online Open Play.

Fans can compete up to 25 times per week to up their chances of moving up the leaderboard, and each week, the top gamers from the US, Canada and Europe will move on to the Online Play-in Bracket, where only the best will compete for a position at the Live Regional Finals. To incentivize participation, the winner and runner up from each region will win a trip to compete in the final in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they will attend the NHL Awards, meet NHL star players, compete head-to-head on national television and win their share of $100,000.

NHL is hosting informative and engaging content on the campaign page, including ‘Learn More’ call-to-actions linking out to tips, tricks and everything fans need to know about the Championships.
