Every year, fans flock to their TV’s as the much-anticipated NHL season commences. As a way of maximizing online engagement, the Penguins have teamed up with Red, The Steakhouse to publish an interactive challenge quiz to their website. The ‘Pens Trivia’ quiz takes Penguins fans through a series of five knowledge testing questions surrounding the popular hockey team.
Whether it be remembering which player tallied a hat trick on April 16, 2017, or being able to name which two players tied for the team-lead in points with 13 in October, 2017, each question is designed to challenge Penguins fans knowledge from the past year. For each question, participants have three multiple-choice responses to choose from, and to incentivize participation, Red, The Steakhouse is giving fans that answer every question correctly the chance to win an exclusive, signed mini helmet and a $100 gift card.
To confirm their entry, participants are required to submit their personal details, including their name, date of birth, email address, home address and phone number. Fans could also choose to opt-in to keep informed of the latest news and offers from Red, The Steakhouse. What’s more, to boost monthly website interaction, the Penguins are introducing new questions each month, encouraging users to come back and try again on a monthly basis.
