Shell LiveWIRE Celebrates Innovation With Award-Winning Voting Campaign

Following the huge success from its awards hosted in previous years, last year’s Overall Wayin Award winner; Shell LiveWIRE launched its 2019 ‘Top Ten Innovators’ campaign to praise and reward young entrepreneurs that demonstrate excellence in innovation across the globe. With three unique categories, visitors could cast their votes directly within the campaign page for who they’d like to see crowned this year’s winner.

‘TEN TOP INNOVATORS’ AWARDS SOLUTION

Being crowned last year’s Overall Wayin Award Winner, Shell LiveWIRE’s annual ‘Top Ten Innovators’ awards is back and bigger than ever. This year, Shell LiveWIRE partnered with Shell Global Commercial on its hunt to find and celebrate the most impressive innovative solutions across the globe. With three categories – Food & Agriculture, Energy & Mobility, and promoting a Sustainable Future, the awards aim to highlight and reward businesses, and give entrepreneurs a chance to shine on a global platform. To incentivize participation, not only will the winners and runners up win direct mentoring from Shell staff, as well as the opportunity to benefit from Shell’s vast global network, but the well-deserved winners will also be awarded $20,000 to pursue their innovative business ideas, and the runners up $10,000.

Open to alumni of Shell LiveWIRE across 19 countries, Shell LiveWIRE used the Wayin platform to host the voting activation on its website. With 21 finalists to choose from, visitors could watch the short video clip that summarizes each business proposition before casting their vote on the entrepreneur they think most deserved to win amongst their category. To drive first-party data acquisition, participants could then complete their entry by submitting their personal details to the form provided, including their name, email address and country.

Results

Achieved a record-breaking 66% increase in votes from last year’s Top Ten Innovators awards.
