Travelex Harnesses The Power Of Authentic UGC In Multi-Network Photo Contest

To inspire followers to explore and take in the beautiful surroundings whilst on their city breaks, Travelex is asking participants to share their best skyline photos from abroad throughout May as part of its ongoing series of multi-network UGC photo contests published to its website.

Every now and then we just need a short weekend to switch off from work, and explore what the world has to offer. Whether it be the concrete jungle of New York, the stunning architectural city of Barcelona, or the leading fashion capital of Paris, sometimes a short city break makes the ideal getaway. Throughout May, city breaks are the order of the month in the Travelex office during the sixth month of its multi-network photo contest. Travelex is inspiring participants to share their city skyline snaps from abroad, in return for the chance to get their hands on an Amazon Fire Tablet, retailed at £139!


Participants can get involved in the photo contest using multiple routes to entry, including through Twitter, Instagram, or directly through the form provided. To enter through Instagram, participants are required to upload their image using this month’s campaign hashtag #Travelexplore, whilst submissions through Twitter must also include the hashtag and @TravelexUK. To enable Travelex to capture valuable audience data that can be reused amongst future marketing promotions, submissions through the form also require participants to submit their personal details, where they can ‘opt-in’ to receive the latest updates and marketing messages surrounding Travelex branded products and services.


Post-submission, all entries received through any of the three options can be filtered, curated and published to the social wall for website visitors to browse, be inspired by, and share with their friends. Travelex has even included an interactive tagging functionality, where browsers can filter and browse through albums of entries from previous competitions.
